Columbus Downtown
Columbus is the largest city of the American state of Ohio. The city was founded in 1812 at the confluence of the Scioto and Olentangy rivers. The city has a total area of 550.5 km² (212.6 mi²). Out of which 544.6 km² (210.3 mi²) comprises of land and 5.9 km² (2.3 mi²) comprises of water.

The city has a humid continental climate, characterized by hot, muggy summers and cold, dry winters. Columbus has a mild, temperate climate with four distinct seasons: winter, summer, autumn and spring. The weather in Columbus is pleasant. There is an annual average snowfall in Columbus of 28 inches. Residents of Columbus are generally known as Columbusites.
